Being Liverpool, a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary series about Liverpool football club is to be broadcast as part of Channel 5’s autumn programme.
The programme will give viewers unique and "unprecedented access to the club, the players and the management team" at Liverpool, according to the broadcaster.
Being Liverpool will offer an insight into the inner workings of the North-East football club, who finished 8th in the Premier League last season.
The documentary series will begin with the departure of former manager Kenny Daglish and the start of current manager Brendan Rodgers's tenure in charge, and will also examine the pressures that players face in the modern game.
Originally produced by American network Fox Soccer, Being Liverpool is helmed by Scott Boggins, the man behind broadcaster HBO’s 24/7 series of sports documentaries, for which Boggins received multiple Emmy awards.
