Boss confirms Lucas set for spell out
Rodgers has confirmed Lucas Leiva is facing a spell on the sidelines
due to a groin injury - but Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Adam
Lallana are fit to face Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
Lucas was forced to leave the field after just 16 minutes of

action for a 'little bit of time'.
However, there was better news regarding Coutinho and Sterling, both

"All the others should be fine."
Meanwhile, journalists quizzed Rodgers on whether Daniel Sturridge
could be handed a first start since returning from five months out
The 25-year-old has made three substitute appearances following his
comeback, and the manager refused to give anything away when it came to
questions about a role from the off against Tottenham.
"You'll see tomorrow night," said Rodgers. "He's in a condition where
he has been training for a little bit of time. There'll be a time where
he will be able to start, whether it's tomorrow or whether it's at the
weekend, you'll have to wait and see."
